A small way to have your voice heard on the immigration debate

As you probably know, the wobbly compromise on the immigration bill broke apart entirely. I'm not sad — I didn't like it. The Power Line guys figure that conservatives now have a brief window of time within which to have their voices heard on the issue. To that end, they've set up a poll on their news blog — with results presumably to go to Congress — where conservatives can check off the single issue they think is most important for any final bill. If you've got a minute, you should definitely go and vote. I've already voted, and found that I rest well within the conservative majority.

By the way, for some good background information on the compromise's failure, and for some thoughts about immigration, generally (thoughts with which I happen to agree), you could do worse than to check out the Captain's Quarters
