Don't say "vouchers" - that's a bad word in MANY circles.....

Say "I'm pro-choice in publicly-funded education."

Better yet (from my perspective), say "Separation of Education and State."

:-)

Give me one principled argument why education for poor people shouldn't be handled like food for poor (or any other) people. I can spend my food stamps at the kosher store, the halal store, the Family Dollar store, the Whole Foods store, or even (horrors!) at Wal-Mart. Why shouldn't I get education stamps that work the same way?

Pro-Choice, baby!!

The tyranny of the government is more subtle than neo-fascist bootheels marching through the streets, contrary to what many would like us to believe.

Government censorship does not produce the real deal tyranny, it is rather self-censorship, institutional racism, institutional corruption, that is the problem.

It is where people are rewarded for not speaking out and punished when they do, that produces the real tyranny. Tyrants focus on the little things in life, that affect everyone. That is why they are tyrants after all.
