Not to put too fine a point on it, where the heck is everybody? I only got three comments on my blog today. I know that I wasn't putting forth my most scintillating writing (it's one of those days) but I still expect some scintillation from you guys.
I love the comments you all leave, especially when you praise me lavishly (hey, I'm only human). I even like it when you expose some horrible factual or reasoning failing in my writing. The last isn't quite as exciting as the lavish praise (I did mention that I'm only human, didn't I?), but it keeps me on my toes, keeps me honest, and sparks some really interesting comment-based debate.
Anyway, I'm begging here. Write to me through comments or, if you prefer, comment about my writing on your own blog. I just really enjoy the dialogue and feel bereft without it.
[Isn't that a lovely picture? I found it at this genealogy site.]
UPDATE: Oh my gosh! I feel a Sally Fields moment coming on. You like me! You really like me! Thank you so much. Yesterday was a difficult work day, because the ideas I desperately need to create a winning brief were eluding me (still are today). That's always a very isolating feeling, so it was just wonderful to have all of you pile on with the praise. Thank you!
