Iran cannot afford to wait until the next US Presidency simply because new US Presidents are unpredictable, because Bush is predictable Iran has a better chance manipulating the field. Or Iran could move during the transition, when the new President will not have his government setup. This is what I would do if I was in Iran's shoes. It was created as a haven for displaced Jews worldwide and it may no longer needed to provide that function. It would be quite interesting to see how long it would take for the 7th century atavists to destroy the modern state of Israel and reduce it to the rubble they're so much more comfortable with. Then the question would be: What now?
