Pushing yourself to the limit

One of my favorite bloggers, and the one who gave me that pivotal link that pushed my numbers beyond zero per day, is Rich, at Beef always wins. He started blogging during his tour of duty in Iraq, where he wrote fascinating posts both about his own experiences and about his take on issues of the day. He then went home and lapsed into domesticity — or so I thought.
As Rich’s first post since April reveals, he was not lolling around the house, mowing the lawn. Instead, Rich attended the incredibly rigorous U.S. Army Rangers School, an experience he blogs about here. If you haven’t already bookmarked Rich’s site, I really recommend that you do so, especially because a comment he left on my blog indicates that (if he keeps blogging) he’ll be doing so from Korea — and that should be really interesting.

He sets it up in a nice way. Especially when you consider that the US has not used more than 10% of their maximum potential.
If the bounds of human limitations may surprise you, just think of what you may see when you combine the power of 300 million individuals into a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
Even if you only can obtain access to 200 of the 300 million, that is still a sizable reserve of energy and force.
When you’re reading his post about Ranger school and his descriptions. Just remember this saying, over and over.
The United States military is stretched and overburdened.
