Another bad guy off the streets

Karr was a perverted poser, but Warren Steed Jeffs is the real thing — a genuinely bad guy — and he was just arrested.  If you’ve read or seen anything about the radical polygamist sect Jeffs headed, and about the horrible abuses he’s forced on young girls for years in the name of his perverted power plays, you too will celebrate his capture.

Better hope he doesn’t appear in front of a good Muslim judge, to whom his behavior will seem normative. Would a Muslim judge go with the law, or do as so many of our supreme court mighty minds do, and go with his feelings?

If Jeffs had any actual brains he’d have visited a consulate from Yemen, Somalia, Iran, or Saudi Arabia in the last few months, bribed some official, and come out with a passport or piece of paper proclaiming him a citizen of that country. He’d have been home free.

After all, whenever one of the 75,000 Arab “princes” with which the world abounds comes visiting and brings along not only all his wives but his copulation cabinet as well to go shopping in New York, we make them all welcome. “Here you go, girls, this is called Bloomingdales, have a great time!”

All he had to do was change his status from “resident” to “visitor,” and his problem would have gone away.

After all, we don’t criticize Islam for precisely this behavior – that would be politically incorrect.

    Domestic Islamic Jihad.

He has supporters, and was able to evade the police. Terroists in the Mid East have supporters EVERYWHERE, that’s why police powers don’t work when limited by Constitutional means.

All he had to do was change his status from “resident” to “visitor,” and his problem would have gone away.

His picture was everywhere. CHanging some bureacratic title, would have done little as a disguise.

He has got friends, and those “friends” are even more brutal than he is. They are as much a problem as the leader. Warren got recognized on a routine traffic stop.

I got Warren’s “religious prosecution” right here.

It’s too bad we can’t just execute these people out of hand. Murderers are a dime a dozen, and repeatable too. These “cults” are pretty organized. Organized like terror cells and mobs are organized.

But it’s the price we pay for civilization. Back in the Wild West days, this guy would never have been caught cause he would have held a large territory in Utah as a Mormon. He would have been the law. So we trade a little expediency and effectiveness for end total result. But that doesn’t mean people aren’t harmed in the process.
