This is why I had no problems with requesting the name of someone I knew. Personal knowledge of the victim adds a new facet to the person’s life story, rather than a rehashing/summation of what one is able to find already out there on the ‘net.

Your shock at seeing her picture in the newspaper is similar to my finding out about someone I knew a few days later, watching the news.

Lauren had been back to New Jersey for her grandmother’s funeral and was flying home again. She was two months pregnant.
