One of those days

Every have one of those days where you make plans to go out for a couple hours to have a nice family brunch and to buy staples, such as toothpaste and milk, and then you end up coming home eight hours later, having spent what seems like your entire months’s budget? We had one of those days. However, in our defense (a) we had a really good time, (b) with one exception everything we bought was absolutely necessary, and (c) everything we bought was such a bargain.
