I think we can excuse you for bloviating, but perhaps not for the insults and the condescension towards commenters and posters.

And by the way Yummycigar my defense mechanism on the maturity scale is muuuuuuu . . . ch higher than yours.I use humour whereas you are at the least mature level of delusional drivel(not that there is anything wrong with that).I'm sure you are trying to be the best that you can be ! Oooh so smart and serious.Time to lighten up Cigar,to be not sooo serious all the time to prove what worthy intellectual person you are. RELAX and have a puff.

But it isn't absurd. How can human slave trafficking and the creation of a slave/second class group by the rich, be absurd? Some people seem to think everything is a joke.

Precisely. It's a given that everyone knows(don't they?) that theft and racism(law of the jungle and by the way the jungle is becoming more entangled )are universal and timeless. And now the illegals(it's their turn) will do what it takes not to be the bottom feeders. What goes around comes around. Isn't it absurd !! Good luck in fixing the merry-go-round !

"Illegals are stealing land like some ancestors stole life and land of others. What goes around comes around."swampacreage

FYI, before white americans 'stole' california and other western states from the mexicans, the mexicans stole that same land from the native americans.

But wait, it doesn't stop there.

The Indian tribe that arguably most 'plays' on its victimhood are the sioux. Lamenting the stealing of their 'sacred black hills' they are the most recognized tribal americans and thus act as representatives for the poor indians mistreatment by the white man.

And there is no denying they were mistreated of course.

BUT they stole the 'sacred black hills' from OTHER indian tribes...150 years before the white man arrives, the sioux sweEp down out of canada and forcibly (killed, enslaved and drove off) removed the tribes in the region who already occupied the land.

Interesting that neither the sioux nor the mexican/chicano activists bemoaning the injustices their ancestors experienced EVER mention THESE facts.

Intellectual dishonesty is rampant and the 'big' fish eating the smaller fish has been going on forever. Its a prime characteristic of tribalism and, its alive and well even today.

Illegals are stealing land like some ancestors stole life and land of others. What goes around comes around. History repeats itself first as a tragedy, secondly as a farce and finally as absurdity ! Sheeesh when will we ever learn !

Steve: I'm not sure I can agree with you. Determining whether someone is here illegally is not a judicial matter, with someone sifting facts and applying the law to the situation. Instead, it's a rather binary process, handled by a government agency (the INS). Either you have the right papers, or you don't. If you do, you're here legally; if you don't, you're not. If you do, you're an immigrant or a green card worker. If you don't, you're an illegal alien. I don't think there's much room for nuance.
