Hagee's speech was down right refreshing. Judging from the outline of his organization, Congress may have a completely different appearance after 2008. That would be refreshing too.
As far as President Bush's promised veto of the indescribable
(insert your favorite derogatory adjective here)funding bill, I pray he does. But I am rather nervous. He failed to veto the McCain/Feingold Champaign Finance Reform bill, but actually signed the thing. I still feel that law is unconstitutional because it restricts free speech. And of course, the thing failed to get money out of politics, as if anything could.

I do not understand the craven silence on the media's part about the "honor" killings and the general manner in which women are treated by Islam. Maybe we need a fire and brimstone preacher to spread the alarm. Because the criminal behavior mandated by Sharia law is spreading westward. I'd use the "e" word, but some people are disturbed by it.

Yep, Book,

Looks like our beloved America is surrendering piece by piece and there seems to be no person with the intestinal fortitude to really stand up and do something right.

Good post!

Thanks for the plug.. glad you liked Hagee's message. As I mentioned to you, he and I disagree on some of our theology but his statement on Israel was right on target..

I agree w/paragraph #2, BW! There's no satisfying me these days. I was cheering that the President so forcefully promised a veto (and sounded like the leader he was at 9-11)and at the same time worrying that his very promise would allow the moonbat-pleasing legislation to pass.

How odd! That's exactly what the democrats have been saying - nothing even marginally intelligent or meaningful.
