They came very close to calling it child abuse. I got the impression this was the backlash to the old custom of mandatory circumcision in American hospitals, but the antisemitic element wasn't far below the surface. I expect nowadays they aren't so vociferous, since that might leave them open to a charge of "Islamophobia"...
