[...] I doubt the police are happy about this. They know that guns in the hands of honest citizens is one of the best deterrents to crime. Now they’re going to be put in a position where they may have to go make the city safe for criminals. There are only two ways to enforce it: The first is house to house searches of gun owners, which sounds mighty unconstitutional to me. The second is to go after gun owners after they’ve used their guns. If the gun owners used their guns illegally in the first place, it will simply layer on another charge to the indictment. However, what you can easily foresee is a situation in which a legal gun owner legally defends himself against a robber, only to be prosecuted afterwards for having his gun readily available. — Bookworm Room [...]

Each of us, one and all, is our own first line of defense. Not the police. Rarely EVER the police.

Each of us, also, is the "First Responder" so often touted as being the police. Cops pick up the pieces with a stick and a spoon and try to find someone to blame.

The effectiveness of the response you as the First Responder can actually mount is directly dependent on how much you let your anti-life government dictate that same level of effectiveness.

Remember who it is who wants you and your family dead and get them out of office and out of your neighborhoods. Do not patronize anti-First Responder businesses.

Hoplophobes must be stopped.

Right. As soon as SFO is gun-free, then just like the Halloween episode of the Simpsons, robbers will take everything you have with slingshots and nails run through boards. Sure, it's funny when it's drooling aliens, but this is just means to put up a billboard reading, "Easy marks."
The mentality of people who break rules, by the way, is why the military doesn't like advertising taking any options off the table. People committed to bad behavior like to know exactly how long their ropes are.

The more weak you make individuals then the more power you can squeeze from them for the all power top echelon elite.

When only few people have the power to defend themselves, you then have utopia. Or also known as, aristocracy.
