Reading between meetings

I’ve been in and out of meetings this morning, which constrains the really important work of blogging.  I’m leaving for another one now, although it will be pleasant, because it’s with DQ about trial prep.  Still, before I go, I wanted to recommend a few things I was able to read, although couldn’t take the time to blog about:

Mark Steyn’s take on the ubiquitous Al Gore, completely with the wonderful term “Ecopalypse.”

Kay Hymowitz, writing on the rise of independent, urbanized young women around the world.

Myrna Blyth’s elegant and thoughtful take on the NY Times’ conscious decision to ignore a local hero, a young man of extraordinary stature, in favor of yet another nasty story about the Marines.

A more than usually good set of Impromptus from Jay Nordlinger.
