"within seconds of having used that phrase"

I love how a minute and a half is "seconds".

Can you post anything without fudging the truth?

This is really great reporting and a definitive record of the event. I can't remember the last time a newspaper reporter went to such ends to get to the bottom of something.

This will bear some thought. I'm sure Harry Reid, being half-witted, figured this would be free for him, (in other words, no legal ramifications) as Limbaugh is a public figure, and cannot sue for slander, lbel, etc.

But Reid doesn't think very deeply, if at all. There may be a couple of other ways to go, if Rush is so inclined. Just noodling it a bit, it occurs to me that Reid may have a problem, here, if Rush wishes to drop it on his head. It goes to the public duties of public officials.

Rush was attacked:
a) publicly
b) by PUBLIC OFFICIALS (this is a biggie)
c) on public time, at their place of work (while you and every other taxpayer was funding their activities)
b) with intent to damage his contractual partnership and stop his work

All of which could well throw this into another arena than the merely slanderous and libellous. With very little tweaking it becomes an inter-state commerce and civil rights matter, and now it seems entirely possible that the FBI raises its head and says hello to Mr. Reid.

I would suspect that a writ of mandamus could certainly be sought and would certainly apply - and without much need of a crowbar, either.

In the immortal words of an old litigator/teacher: "if he leaves his (male appendage) on the table in front of you, chop it off for him." I begin to suspect ol' Harry may have done so. It seems to me there are a couple of ways to go with this, and Rush may not yet have begun to play with these idiots.
