Things are going well at the Watcher of Weasels

It was a very good week at the Watcher of Weasels, although I rightly got trounced for my weak submission. (And since my fellow Council members correctly identified a very good piece the I submitted the week before, I know that they’re an honest panel of judges.)
The winners this week on the Watcher’s side were Joshuapundit for Syria’s Assad Caught With His Hands in the Nuclear Cookie Jar, and the Colossus of Rhodey for Why Hate Crimes Are a Joke Part 5783, and Why the University of Delaware Digs ‘em.
On the non-Council side, the QandO Blog placed first with Is This the State of Academics Today?, and second place went to Confederate Yankee’s I’m Sorry… Was That Supposed To Be Journalism?.
Excellent posts all of them. I can honestly say that my brain feels bigger, smarter and better informed for having read them.

I dunno. I thought the Colossus Of Rhodey’s entry was rather slight, using just a couple of original paragraphs of his own to tie together the outrage at the University of Delaware with a nasty faux-hate-crime rape case. Entertaining but slight.
