It is ok for a nice lady to be girlie with pets every now and then.

We have trapped four mature possums in the last week.

If I could revert to my macho hunting days, we would pen them up for a couple of weeks — feed them well and eat them.

I tried eating one forty some odd years ago — just to say I had done it.. It tasted just like hmmmm — well like tough pork. And they smell just like a filthy pig pen.

Not pleasant… My Shirley does not like to have to deal with them but she is a good sport, especially when she helps me because of my vision problem. We take them way out near the edge of the Everglades and release them. That is the fun part. ‘-)

Oh, Jack! It sounds as if you’re under siege. I don’t like wild rodents, unless they’re in cute little video clips. I’ve always liked pet rodents, though: mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. They’re soooo soft. And yes, I know that’s very “girlie” of me, but what can you do? I was once a girl. Now, I have an adorable little dog, with a petite body and a huge heart.

So you like rodents? I caught two marsupial rodents in our back yard in the last few days.. Possums! They traverse between our house and the lake — setting up residence under our spa.

Ugly, nasty and ferocious with a set of teeth to kill!

Send your address. I will package the next ones and ship them to SF where they will be right at home.

I haven’t seen it, Patrick. The family saw it without me, so I doubt that there’ll be many chances for me to see it in the future. I heard it’s great.

I agree with Tap. I’ll have to add this to my list of creatures, like puffins, blue-footed boobies, and ring-tailed lemurs, whose appearance always cheers me.
