I think the Reps are more critical of their candidates because they are comparing a person to a set of ideals, principles, goals. And to no surprise, all of the candidates fall short of the ideal.

The Dems seem to go with their hormones. Or as Bill Clinton once said, "The Republicans fall in line, the Democrats fall in love."

But you have to pick among the choices you have when you have to decide. When I moved cross country in 1978, I had two weeks to buy a house. Did I find the perfect house? No, I picked the best available in the time allowed. Worked out just fine.

Many of my friends are sulking that if "X" (most often McCain) wins the nomination, I'm sitting this one out. Sulk all you want but come next Nov, get your butt to the polls and vote. There is always some goofy party on the ballot that will serve perfectly well as "none of the above."

And say a prayer of thanksgiving to all those who died to give that right to you.
