Now obviously you can't just _make_ people go live somewhere, but airports do cause noise for those living close by, and if those who wouldn't be bothered by the noise are encouraged to live there by subsidies or reduced prices or some other inducement - would that be a bad thing? Is it the idea that you could just make certain people live there? Ok…I get that this offends people, but why? Now obviously you can’t just _make_ people go live somewhere, but airports do cause noise for those living close by, and if those who wouldn’t be bothered by the noise are encouraged to live there by subsidies or reduced prices or some other inducement - would that be a bad thing? Is it the idea that you could just make certain people live there? I agree that that’s a bad idea, but other than that, it seems like a sensible solution.

He is also the mayor that said (paraphrasing) "lets move all the deaf people out by the airport" when an Overnight Air Freight company wanted to set up a hub at the local airport. Unique guy. The difference with places like Berkeley or Madison (Wis.) is that they thrive only because of massive infusions of other peoples' monies through the university systems. I say cut them off. Toledo, Cleveland, San Francisco, Detroit, Philadelphia, Camden, Newark, Oakland…all Democrat utopias built on the big rock candy mountain of Liberal/Progressive ideals.
