The USN should go into this business to supplement tax dollars. They have experience.

Forty years ago they took me out into the brush. They starved me, they made me crawl around in the dark while people pretended to shoot at me. One day them made me hike over the mountains without water. After several day of fun and games, but not much food came the feature attraction. They dumped me and tough guys in funny uniforms chased me around the mountains. When they caught me, a foregone conclusion, they slapped me around and locked me up in a wire enclosure with other thrill seekers. While there they slapped me around some more; in fact, every time I looked at them the wrong way they slapped the crap out of me; they locked me in a box barely large enough to kneel; they interrogated me aggressively about what I was doing in their mountains, and slapped me some more for good measure; finally they put me to bed hungry and thirsty.

They called it training. I guess current liberals and democrat Congresspersons would call it torture.

I didn't realize that it was a vacation. At least the price was right.

The historical thing doesn't sound like a bad idea, ProtestShooter. One of the best things we did all last year was go to a Civil War Reenactment. "You are there" history is fun. However, since illegal immigration currently is a battle between the "a country has a right to its own sovereignty" folks and the "aren't the poor little immigrants brave and sad" folks, having the Mexican government sponsor this kind of thing is not inspiring.

They have similar things for rich white kids where they can get the underground railroad experience - what it was like to be an escaping slave.

"Run from border control agents; dodge hidden actors shooting (blanks) at you, and make your way through barbed-wire fences. Survivors are blindfolded, led across a rickety bridge, and then set free to run across the border to freedom!"

I think it's just incredibly NEAT that the Mexican government is sponsoring this theme park to give their citizens a sense of the kind of horrific difficulty and terror that the border crossing involves.

Anyone who tries to cross the Mexico southern border into Belize knows firsthand the horror of their border guards, armed with guns, firing, torture and prison and um... just a second... oh... er... Mexico is talking about the, um, northern border? Er... Never mind.

Survivors are blindfolded, led across a rickety bridge, and then set free to run across the border to freedom!

Talk about fracking decadence. I swear, 5000 years into the future, the rich and useless will still be doing things like making stars go nova as a sport and recreational activity.

Mexico's interest is in pushing their citizens into the US, using them as slave labor to power the Mexican corrupt government and lackluster economy. We used to have wars over such things before. But now a days, the complacent feeling of prosperity, invulnerability, and just plain retardness has made the use of power and self-defense non-fashionable.

When people can afford to be parasites and agent provocateurs because somebody else is paying their bills, then you will have more and more of them. They breed like rabbits, and just like with rabbits in nature, Nature will eventually find a way to rebalance the cycle.

Too many prey but not enough predators? Well, we'll just bring in more predators, sayeth Gaia.
