Targeting civilians *UPDATE*

I noted a couple of posts ago that the UN, predictably, is up in arms about the fact that Israel finally took action against the militants firing rockets at civilians. I’m sure, though, that the UN will greet with mind-numbing silence the fact that terrorists invaded a school in Jerusalem and killed seven (with a suicide belt on one demonstrating the intention to take out many more):
Two gunmen infiltrated a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem and opened fire in a dining hall Thursday night, killing at least seven people, police and rescue workers said. Israeli media said about 35 people were wounded.
Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben Ruby said one of the infiltrators was wearing an explosive belt. He said students were being evacuated from the building.

The Palestinian Hamas movement hailed a deadly attack on a Jewish religious school in Jerusalem on Thursday night as “heroic,” without claiming responsibility for the strike that killed eight.
“This heroic attack in Jerusalem is a normal response to the crimes of the occupier and its murder of civilians,” Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said.
Another spokesman, Taher al-Nunu, blamed the attack on Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defence Minister Ehud Barak and the Israeli government.
“We have warned before about the responsibility of the escalation in Gaza and warned of Palestinian anger,” Nunu said.
Hundreds of Palestinians poured into the streets of Gaza City as news of the attack at a west Jerusalem yeshiva spread, firing automatic rifles into the air in celebration.
Several more hundred people likewise celebrated in the northern town of Jabaliya, which has borne the brunt of deadly Israeli military strikes over the past eight days that have killed more than 130 Palestinians in Gaza amid a sharp escalation of violence in and around the impoverished territory.
These aren’t people; they’re monsters who have abandoned all semblance of human values. And the moral equivalent idiots on the left, including Barack Obama’s closest advisers, treat them as morally equivalent. For that, the Left is almost as contemptible as the killers themselves.
UPDATE II: The targets of this “heroic attack” were unarmed high school students.

The reason why history is full of the rise and fall of civilizations is exactly because decadence and prosperity provides the conditions from which something like the Left can reproduce themselves.
People like the Palestinians have existed throughout history. What hasn’t always existed in history is the combination of the products of a decadent civilization and the product of a vital tribal civilization.
Take the steppe people, like the Kushans or Saka. They were originally barbarians that rode horses and had festivals on horses because the steppes could not support farming as a way of life. When they went down south and west and conquered settled peoples, they adopted the farming ways of their conquered subjects. This led to a decrease in the horsemanship of the new generation. It didn’t make them into farmers, but it did decrease their vitality on the steppes.
Usually once weakened this way, they then fall prey to another barbarian invasion from the steppes they once came from. That is the cycle of history, or at least one example of it.
What is rare in today’s world is how a decadent production of civilization, like the Left, can come about… but are protected from the invasions of the barbarians. So you have the two co-existing on some freakish level, when the natural situation would have had the barbarians offing the Left early.
Barbarians and decadent civilized people cannot co-exist. All civilizations became decadent, that’s how they become weak to barbarian invasions. A barbarian doesn’t need irrigation, homes, or anything like that. A barbarian from the steppes sleeps under the moon and stars, and his only possessions are his arrows, bow, and horse.
Up against that, civilization can never mobilize enough military force to protect each and every village from someone like Attila the Hun or the Mongols.
The barbarians can attack settled farmers because farmers have to stay in one place while horse archers can run around anywhere. Sound familiar to terrorism, perhaps.
The logical solution is to wage WWII-style war against the Islamofascists. Reduce the West Bank and Gaza by artillery fire and air attack, and make the rubble bounce. then, ship any survivors to the Libyan coast. George Patton or Gyorgi Zhukov would know exactly how to deal with the problem.
The Islamofascists are the equivalent of rabid dogs. they must be killed off en masse, not bargained with.
