Find allies and people who share your goals, support them, kill their enemies, and etc. For reporters, this means provide exclusives, protection, and access to reporters that will carry our propaganda lines and arguments about the war. Those that share all of our values, we give the most access to. Those that are willing, we give some benefits. Those that are slightly against, we punish. Those that are really against us, like Dan Rather and White House Press Corps, we attempt to destroy career wise, destroy their sources, give them disinformation, and essentially deny them access to news and stories so their careers go kaput. This is the counter-insurgency way of fighting a war against an enemy you can't just bomb to oblivion. And obviously, one cannot bomb or even assassinate the Main Sewer Media into extinction.
