With people like her and me, the more people that are angry at us — it’s sort of energizing in a horrible way. It’s like, “I’ll show you, I’ll stick around another day, another week, another year, just to irritate you.”

That’s actually the mentality you get when a person goes berserk, except magnified a couple of orders of magnitude. Whatever pain or setback occurs to that person, he or even she just becomes more motivated into winning and crushing the opposition.

Doesn’t that make those peeps the same as terrorists who take more hostages because they know they will be rewarded with ransom money for it? And when those same people say we shouldn’t torture terrorists at Gitmo because the terrorists kill women and rape children, aren’t they just talking about themselves?

You’re going to get nasty emails, no matter what. But yes, I think there is an element of the critical feedback you get (as a woman) that is more misogynistic and sexual than men generally get.

I think that, obviously when you’re talking about video, which some people are talking about as the future of the blogosphere, yeah, it helps to have a cute face.

Ha, that reminds me of Matt of Blackfive when he came on FOX via Atlanta, I think. The bright lights really bothered him and there was also a really loud siren in the background. You could hear the doppler effect! Matt was stayed cool though, and I had to rewatch the segment when he mentioned the sirens cause I didn’t even notice anything due to the fact that Matt didn’t give any body gesture clues.
