I am in the grips of some serious lust.  This cute little thing is the object of my desire.

I first saw the iPhone last year, when a couple of people I met in passing were showing it to anyone within a 50 foot radius.  They were in raptures, and I was jealous.  Since then, though, I haven’t spoken to anyone who has stuck with this gadget for the long haul.  Do any of you have an iPhone?  Does it wear well?  Are you still enjoying it as much now as you did then, or has the rapture passed and boredom set in?

Your input would be appreciated, before I give in to my lust and do something stupid and expensive.

Chin up and deal with it! I’m in a nasty mood about the blasted I-Phone because only AT&T is selling them. I did go out and by the I-Touch I-Pod and love it.

Seriously, eveyone in my sister’s family have them and love them!

I am just the little green eyed monster over them!

If you have AT&T go for it!

My older son has one and loves it. He’s had it about four months. Last weekend, he forgot to take his charger with him when he went out of town. He had one bar left when he came home Monday morning. Two hours later, he was back in business.

    C’mon … get the Kindle!

Laer — the Kindle is tempting, but between a fantastic public library and a great Goodwill store, I never spend more than $2.00 on a book.

If you can wait until June, there are rumors of a redesigned iPhone being introduced at Apple’s WWDC (Wordwide Developer’s Conference). It’s scheduled for June 9 -13.

    Bookie -

The consensus is pretty solid that the eager buyer is going to have to tolerate some iPhone bugs, as there are some annoyances that will probably disappear in the next couple of upgrades. But the slick user interface and rich feature set make it well worth it.

I don’t know of anybody who has an iPhone and is ready to announce the minor trifles have given way to a case of genuine buyer’s remorse. One guy at work says his iPhone is convinced the earplugs are plugged in, and he can’t tell it otherwise. Being a Treo 650 owner who hates iPhones, I’d take pompous pleasure in this, but my 650 has exactly the same problem.

We live in an imperfect universe.

You’d have no regrets down the road if you bought now. I wish I could say you would. But I have no reason to think so.
