Charles Johnson, at LGF, working off the top of his head, put together a list of Obama’s troublesome associations:
* Rabidly anti-Israel Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi. The Obamas were regular dinner guests at Khalidi’s Hyde Park home for years.
* Terrorist sympathizer Ali Abunimah, who runs the viciously anti-Israel web site Electronic Intifada.
* Unrepentant Weather Underground terrorists William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn.
* Reverend Jeremiah Wright. What more needs to be said?
* Anti-Israel foreign policy adviser Samantha Power — fired after calling Hillary Clinton a “monster.”
* Anti-Israel foreign policy adviser Robert Malley — fired when it was revealed he has been holding talks with Hamas.
* Hatem El-Hady, former official of the Hamas-linked charity Kindhearts, closed by the Justice Department. El-Hady’s web page suddenly vanished from the Obama campaign site with no explanation, after being exposed by LGF and others.
* Tony Rezko — a Chicago fixer currently in a whole lot of legal trouble.
He ends by saying: “There are more, I know; this is just off the top of my head.”
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to add to that list.

How about his close association with the woman – who would be First Lady – who said that America is just mean and that, regardless of the charmed life she has lead, she is just now recognizing pride in America. That is very troublesome to me.
A closer examination of Osama’s background, and the influence of his fathers, will reveal that he is either a Muslim or an apostate Muslim, neither points which have been disclosed to the American people. Cover-up?

Aristocrats always obtain pride in having their underlings perform to spec. When those underlings misbehave and talk back, however, then it’s time for the beatings to occur.
Funny, YM – you are right of course. That’s what happens when I let my fingers do the walking rather than my brain do the talking.
One more for the list: Obama’s role as sock puppet for the corrupt Chicago/Illinois political Combine – the people who first put him up to this and who itch to access the national public trough.

Without the Combine, he would always have long been exposed as a zero. For them, he makes the perfect sock puppet. Perhaps it is upon the details of these corrupt ties that Hillary sits, ready for disclosure at the right time before the convention.

Aristocrats are those who, by their mark of birth and blood, demand recognition and status appropriate to their rank and titles. Many aristocrats look down on the serfs and the commoners because the commoners were low born, meaning born without the blood that which makes people noble. When those commoners perform well and lavish praise upon the aristocrats, the aristocrats are pleased and proud that they have such obedient servants.
I personally don’t mind Obama’s troublesome associations.
But if he is to be a uniter, I expect – no, I DEMAND – an equal number of associations of his on the right. And he appears to have ZERO such associations.
It’s the imbalance that utterly destroys his credibility as a uniter, as someone who can cross the lines and get opponents to agree or compromise.
He has ZERO credibility with me, because all of his associates and friends exist within a narrow ideological echo chamber. Any reasonable skeptic would utterly reject his claims, based on that, to be able to unite this country.
Unless we all simply fall under his hypnotic spell as he soothes and sways us into the dream – HIS dream, his far-left ideological inevitable result – he can have zero effect.
Welcome, everyone, to this decade’s Jimmy Carter. Horribly ineffectual, monstrous on foreign policy. But since the Republicans have had their huge, snuffling pig snouts at the candy trough for a decade, descending deeply into corruption, pocketlining, and wild deficit spending on the backs of your children and grandchildren, there may be no way to stop Obama from repeating every single one of Carter’s horrifying mistakes.
Mike D – I agree about the R’s snuffling pig snouts – well put. But I DO mind his troublesome associations. Those who have not fallen under Obama’s hypnotic spell are not to mention a growing list of things – from Obama’s ears to his embittered wife to his lack of judgment to his many nefarious associations and spoken lies. If he is elected, and does surely repeat Carter’s horrifying mistakes, the chickens will come home to roost in a most deadly way. THEN can we mention his troublesome associations and worldview? I can hear the spinners now – we will be asked to avert our eyes and minds or be branded racist. I wonder if his spinners could be any more nauseating than Sydney Blumenthal and Lanny Davis?
