Everyone knows California (and its Federal Ninth Circuit) are looney tunes.  More judicial runaway powermongering is ALWAYS worth something.  It always raises the anger and the pulse.

But the practical effect in the past was to get issues on the ballot promoting marriage as being between a man and a woman.  Those have already been passed in almost every state that's important for national elections.  What is left to put on the ballot that hasn't already been put on the ballot?

It's going to be hard to run simply against runaway judicial activism when, in most states, the laws of California and Massachusetts can no longer destroy YOUR way of life in a different state.  There's just not as much vulnerability as there was ten years ago.</description>
