Der Fueher’s Face

In a comment to my earlier post about talk with an ideological foe being dangerous, Gringo mentioned a classic anti-Nazi piece of Hollywood propaganda (made when Hollywood viewed America as the ally, not the enemy).  I found it at YouTube (of course), and share it with you.

And for those of you who are I Love Lucy fans, I think you’ll enjoy William Frawley assuring Americans that they will win the war:

Any ally of Soviet Russia and Communism is also our “ally”, Book.

Also Warner Brothers seemed to be a part of Hollywood where the Leftist and Artsy influences hadn’t yet come.

I am flattered. Since the Islamofascists are so big on RESPECT, on not being offended, humor is a good way to take them down a notch. It you are laughing at them, they are humiliated. Since THEY do not give others the respect they demand from others, they deserve all the humiliation they can get. By laughing at them, one no longer fears their threats.

I wonder what would have happened if a musical combo had played the “Right in AmaDinnerJacket’s Face” to him when he gave the speech at Colombia. I can imagine he would have gotten furious when being laughed at.

By contrast, consider Dubya’s self-deprecating skits at the National Press Club.
Note also the previous comparison between Obama and JFK regarding humor. JFK was pretty damned funny at some of his press conferences. Vaughn Meador, in one of his First Family sketches, has a scene in which a journalist asks him the following question: “I don’t want you to be angry, I don’t want you to be sore. Will Rockefeller be President in 1964?” Meador/JFK’s reply: “If I were living in New York, he’d be my candidate. It would be the best way I know to get him out of New York State.” Given JFK’s wit, I could see him actually giving such a reply.

Even Nixon appeared on Laugh In. While I do not like Ted Kennedy’s politics, I recently saw a video in which he gave a drunken rendition in Spanish of a Mexican song. Ted’s willingness to play the fool endeared him to me.

Politicians that appear to take themselves too seriously, such as DinnerJacket and Obama, make me uncomfortable.

A little messing with the Spike Jones original:

When the mullah says “we is the master faith,”
We JIHAD! (phhht!), JIHAD! (phhht!), right in the mullah’s face.

Not to fear Mohammad is a great disgrace,
So we JIHAD! (phhht!), JIHAD! (phhht!), right in the mullah’s face.

When the imams say that all Christians they’ll debase,
We JIHAD! (phhht!), JIHAD! (phhht!), right in the imam’s face.

When the sheik says our church he will deface,
We JIHAD! (phhht!), JIHAD! (phhht!), right in his holy face.

    [alternate verses:]
When the mufti says infidels must know their place,
We JIHAD! (phhht!), JIHAD! (phhht!), right in the mullah’s face.

When the ayatollah says our church he will erase,
We JIHAD! (phhht!), JIHAD! (phhht!), right in his holy face.

    Are we not the superfaith,
    Arabic pure superfaith?
    Ja we is the superfaith,
    Super-duper superfaith.
Is this Nutzo land not good?
Would you leave it if you could?
Ja this Nutzo land is good!
We would leave it if we could.

We will bring the world to order,
Dar al Islam’s new world order.
Everyone of foreign race will love der Ayatollah’s face,
When we bring the world disorder

When Saddam says we’ll never bomb his place,
We JIHAD! (phhht!), JIHAD! (phhht!), right in the leader’s face.

When the Mullah says, “We is the master faith”
We JIHAD! (phhht!), JIHAD! (phhht!), right in the mullah’s face.
