Meaning restore their power and protect their hides. But when criminals rise up against citizens, now all of a sudden the citizen is hamstrung by all these lovely commandments. I also like the fact that California's political masters are protected by military and police arms, including assault rifles, but they are the ones saying that the citizens of California cannot arm themselves without the politicians telling them what is the right way to do so. This is what happens when a bunch of parasites come to power.
