Something of a conservative consensus

John Hawkins, at Right Wing News, polled conservative bloggers about the upcoming Presidential election.  Sixty-four responded (myself included), and John tabulated those responses.

Some areas saw the responders about equally divided:  More thought McCain would win the election (56%) than that Obama would win (44%); and more thought Obama was an anti-white racist (54%) than did not (46%).

However, in some areas, the bloggers were overwhelmingly in favor of one choice over another — and, something I’ve never seen in a poll before, they were once unanimous in their belief.  That last occurred when John asked whether respondents thought Obama was moderate or liberal.  All of us said “liberal.”

The conservative bloggers also see a Democratic blow-out in Congress — although I’m hoping that, in the next three months, Americans’ frustrating with rising gas prices and the Democrats’ assiduous efforts to block all reasonable steps to increase the supply will results in some anti-Dem attitudes in the voting booth.  Of course, for that to happen, Republicans have to start speaking very, very loudly about new drilling, new refineries, and new nuclear plants (like the liberals’ beloved French).

Anyway, check out the poll results and see if you’d vote with the majority on this one.
