She was proud of her Ashkenazim heritage. When she started to lose weight, she was thrilled. She died less than a year later. If she had known that her risk of cancer was so high she might have been less thrilled with her weight loss. So, I plead with any Ashkenazim females, be aware that your risk of "female" cancers is about 100% greater than mine (Irish Catholic).
