As to evidence of Obama’s flip flopping, the McCain camp has released a truly devestating video on Obama’s many contradictory and changing positions on Iraq. It is nothing but clips from Obama’s public appearances over the past four years.

Let’s not delude ourselves into thinking “less damage” is a better alternative.

Unprincipled politicians inevitably take the path that leads to the greatest harm. That is just how it works.

I am not bothered by Obama’s flip-flops. It does not convince me that he has changed his positions, but it does show that he is an unprincipled politician. And that is good, because I don’t like his original positions anyway. That is why I always preferred Hillary to be the Democratic nominee, just in case the Democrats do win in November. So, if Obama is like Hillary in terms of his “principles”, that’s good news. But, like you, Bookworm, I am worried that he will revert back to his default leftist positions once he gets in power. I hope that, if G-d forbid, he does win, he will remain the same unprincipled politician looking for ways to stay in power. If that will be the case, he will do considerable less damage.
