Hurrah!

I salvaged my Firefox bookmarks.
Now if only I can get my Outlook info to read on the new computer. The email addresses and calendar are not the end of the world, because they live on in Gmail, but I would have to re-enter all my contact data if I can’t get this darn thing to work. McAfee keeps crashing Outlook, but I can’t get the McAfee to shut down short of uninstalling the darn thing — and I’m not quite ready to do that. It’s all very frustrating, but I’m quite heartened by the recovery of my bookmarks.

Yaay! I couldn’t load your page for two days, so figured something computer-ish was going on. Good to see your blog back!
Can’t live with ‘em (sometimes) and for sure, can’t live without ‘em.
It was even more complicated than that, Xenia. As I was making changes here, my webmaster was switching my site to a new and more reliable server. Everything was in a state of flux. I think I added at least 1,000 new gray hairs this past week, what with shlepping the kids, meeting legal deadlines, and struggling with technical difficulties. I’ve decided that I’m in desperate need of chocolate and some time spent watching Michael Phelps swim.
Scratch McAfee…go with Avast. It’s free, and it works.

If the work you do warrants the paid version, then they also have AVG. I have to admit though, we have that at work, and it’s annoying. Too much protection.
