In a nutshell

IBD has an excellent editorial that neatly summarizes Palin’s many political virtues.

And while I’m on the subject of IBD editorials, catch this one cutting Obama’s pedestrian speech even further down to size.

As I saw Palin’s inaugural speech as VP candidate, and saw her very young child being held being her, I couldn’t help wondering how someone could be a devoted mother while raising children. Having learned that her 17 year old daughter is pregnant, I am trying to understand what that says about Palin as a mother. What is the “family values” crowd thinking about the implications of her daughter engaging in pre-marital sex (at a very young age) and failing to use proper contraception. Surely, this is not a positive way to start a family… Palin might make a great VP candidate, and this won’t impact my thiking about her professional credentials, but for the consevatives who seemed to attack Democrats for their personal/family life as an indication of how they would perform professionally, I am wondering how much this is going to hurt her…
