I’ve spent the last three and a half hours alternately on the phone with my husband or my sister, or at my Mom’s place helping her with a computer problem. Today was me illustrating the paradigm of the “Mom as sandwich,” where the woman is caught in the middle of too many generations. Days like this leave me feeling cranky. I’ll get over it, because I’m blessed to have a family and to have a mother who is surviving well into old age, but I still feel stretched too thin right now.
