Pat Condell on the Saudi-ization of England *UPDATED*

What’s bizarre and depressing about Condell’s biting satire is that there is only a single exaggeration in the whole thing. Everything else is just a statement of facts:
UPDATE: YouTube deleted the video — apparently it hurt the Saudi’s feelings. Fortunately, you can still see it here.

I’d feel better about YouTube’s control of its content if I could download their videos to my own archive.
When they’re gone from YouTube, they’re gone, especially if all you’ve saved off is the link. How are you going to go search for it from a different source?
Not to worry. In a few years they will bring back the video to use as evidence in Condell’s trial for defaming Islam and propagating intolerance.
I see Pat Condell as the Thomas Paine of Great Britain. I admire him enormously. And I thank the good Lord for the Internet, and blogs and YouTube …
No longer do we have the “Media” exclusively pronouncing “it’s not news until I say it’s news.” The internet is like ham radio in its day, Radio Free Europe in its day etc — an alternate voice to the “establishment.”
Now we have “people in their pajamas” calling Dan Rather a liar and a cheat. Wow, what a wonderful world!
