What BobK says about the “intrinsic value” of every single individual, is what religious faith brings to conservatism and strengthens it enormously. Those of us who are libertarian in principle and not that concerned with religion in our daily lives *have* to keep this in mind. It’s a key to our coalition.

I think the same respect flows – or must flow- in the other direction as well. Classical liberalism, or its variant libertarianism, emphasizes limited government, with checks and balances across the board, because though man is made in God’s image, man is guaranteed imperfect, and our system of representative government ensures that this imperfection in human nature is built into the system.

Most terrible governments proceed along the lines that man and Society are perfectable, and that Utopia can be reached via government power. The end result of *that*, if it is allowed to proceed to conclusion, is always a mass charnelhouse of screaming horror; shallow graves for millions.

Our coalition of the religious providing “intrinsic value” for the every individual human, and classical liberal/libertarian principles of government reflecting the fact that we are each and every one imperfect, is why I hope we shall win the arguments and the elections in the end.

It’s so sad that both values and logic are being ignored in schools today; replaced by political correctness and indoctrination.

No, you were immature. Because the world didn’t conform to what you thought it should be, you and all of the others just did what you wanted in order to show how “cool” you were. The rules don’t apply to you. Instead of changing the rules, you ignored them. You thought yourself greater than the rules which is why you disdain those that follow them.

This is the same today for most “liberals.” You can say and do anything since you don’t have to follow any rules. Because you believe you are right, no one else is allowed to have an opposing viewpoint. No one can say anything against you because that would be racist or sexist or -phobe. You can squelch any thoughts because you believe you are right.

Because you believe you are right, this is what shows your immaturity. I think you really believe you can heal the world.

Because you believe you are right, failed programs are continued because it only takes a little more money to fix the problem.

Because you believe you are right, people and property have no value. You destroy carpets, bother others with your music, then destroy buildings and murder people. All because you believe you are right.

Your value system is not God, but self. Because you believe you are right.

Demand all interviews are live; and if not live, then an agreement must be signed, in writing, that the entire interview will be shown, or it will not be shown at all.

Provide your own videotaping of the entire interview. Videotape your press conferences. This has two effects: It keeps em honest, and if they violate integrity with slanted editing, you have proof of what they’re up to. (I first saw the “videotape the interview yourself” on Instapundit, and I endorse it wholeheartedly.

I will continue to insist that the political elections game is moving to video, video, video. Moving images. The mainstream media has a major lock on this right now. Written arguments and pictures (snapshots) will continue to have a major support role – especially when time is taken for thoughtful pondering – but the major influence for elections will be video.
