In my house, there are books everywhere. The children and I read them and abandon them all over the house. Since I usually have several books going at once, I like it that any given room has something to read. It’s only in my office that I try to create a book-free zone, since I find the computer enough of a distraction!

The really revealing thing about it, in my opinion, is that the computer I was posting from is in my kitchen… Strange place for a Narnia book, strange family of Narniacs.

This appears to me a variation on the “It was a dark and stormy night….” round robin story writing contest — which is wonderful. In that one, each successive author writes one parapgraph and passes it on.

This one stikes me as more like the “mad Libs” the kids play on long car rides. Whatever, have fun with it!

=sniff= Had Book seen fit to invite me in on this, my passage would have read:

Charles finished the soft kiss, pulled back slightly and gently lifted her chin. “Oh, Pamela, I don’t think I’ve ever felt quite like this. There’s a stirring in me. . .”

“Soothe me, Charles,” she implored. “Soothe me to my very depths!”

The next morning, as sunlight fell on two figures, entwined in each other’s arms under crumpled sheets. . .
