Good or bad?

Got a nostalgia attack.  This song, from Bucks Fizz, was a huge hit when I lived in England.  I can’t figure out if it’s wonderful in a very early 1980s kind of way, or just creepy.  What say you?

If you factor in the costumes, it’s a no brainer: CREEPY.

Creepy only BEGINS to describe that…..

Where WAS I during the time this kind of thing was happening…..? Simply do NOT remember anything of the sort.

Oh yeah!! We had a four-year old and a newborn in 1980 — we escaped all this c**p!! We were dealing with OTHER kinds…..

    “Nuff said!

They’ve got a little bit o Abba in them, but without the optimistic effervescence.
Some of those lyrics – if you look them up – about children’s dreamlands make believe, sure do seem to edge dark, don’t they? Would Abba have edged into nightmare lyrics while singing so sweetly?
