I always feel like, somebody’s watching me….

Jack Weaver, who blogs at Expreacherman, sent me this update about happenings today:

Obama’s new Homeland Security executive order was signed today. Internet surfing as of Monday will be tracked by what the Obama-controlled FBI calls a ‘non-intrusive method.’ The president promises you will hardly notice anything different.

I’m assuming that this is just a joke…..very cute.

If not – we need a link!

This is a joke, right? I mean, obviously, what YOU posted was a joke but it isn’t based on something real, right?

It is so hard to tell with this administration. Crazy things wind up being . . . true.

    I assume it’s a joke. I make no guarantees.

Those aren’t peanut butter or chocolate chip cookies left on your browsers when you are searching the net. They are called tracking cookies. everything you do on-line is tracked one way or another. Not usually for nefarious purposes but they are still there. The government has something for sure. Forget the name but even if they shut down the one that got all the publicity a few years back rest assured there is something else. Patriot Act ring a bell??
You could get and use TOR and an Onion router but even that is not totally secure and there are a couple of paid subscriptions out there also but again think security.

Oh what Book did was and is a joke that’s been around for more than a few years. It’s harmless but cute.

Ok…need a place to plant this item concerning the trillion dollar spending bill, and nothing on the “Recent Posts” quite fits, so this is the closest I can get. At least it’s Obama related!

I use Firefox as my browser and it’s very easy to clean-out all the cookies at the end of a web session. I do that regularly before I close.

    Danny…
Why? In other words, I thought that cookies passed the info onto their originator when they were set – not that they passed on info (usually) at a later time.

Or to put it another way, if the cookie only plants info on my machine so that it’s easier to log into a site next time, what’s the problem? Does the cookie transmit info to the originator? If so, when? What benefit is there to dumping them when you close your browser?

Ok…another one related to the spending bill…

    http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2009/02/smoking-gun-caller-explains-stimulus-as.html

When you combine this info with the reversal of the EO 13202 http://directorblue.blogspot.com…-of- bitter.html
    it sure makes sense.

    It’s all about the Unions.

Private corporations can’t demand that the ISP give them the address and account data of the specific IP in question. The US government can.

This will not affect terrorist websites being routed through the US, since their ISPs are somewhere else. You can shut off the sites by locking them out of the servers state side, but there’s always Europe.
