“I’m Against Guns and Violence, Unfortunately Reality Has Intruded on My Delusional Paradise.”
That was very good.
It is not so much that guns are the great equalizer between small and physically weak women and their more powerful opposite genders; it is that violence, as a fundamental truth in war, is a leveler and equalizer.
Guns are devices crafted to harness the principles of violence, so that even idiots can use it with the same consistency.
Before, you had to train mighty long to get warriors and swordsmen and fighters. After the advent of firearms and pikes, discipline and teamwork became the most important. And it takes far less time to create discipline and teamwork than it took to individually train a very skilled swordsman.
Of course, some women believed guns were dangerous and uncontrollable and out to get them if they even got near them, thus they feared guns. Yet they also fear close combat, for similar reasons, and that is just as mistaken.
An untrained person is helpless regardless of what tool he has. Without the brain to send the signals, the body does nothing, even if the body has access to all kinds of arms and armaments.
The psychological freeze renders all such things impotent and one of the fundamental utilizations of the gun is that it forces people to calmly and intentionally go into a focused zone where nothing matters but hitting your target. There are no defense methods. There are no “what if he does this”. Just hit the target.
And that is what makes combat, any kind of combat, so decisive. Figure out what you need to do, then do it. No hesitation. No mercy. No worrying about what ifs. No chance for the enemy to escape or rally or counter-attack.
These things can be taught, but it’s like telling the Iraqis that the AMericans will stay to protect them. They may intellectually understand, but will they believe it? Only once they experience it. The same is true for training soldiers in fighting or citizens in protecting their society.
You can tell a person that the only thing that matters is putting down a target, but will he believe it? Probably not, unless he has other sources and experiences to draw upon (like mine for example).
So a gun is very helpful here. Nobody doubts that if you shoot somebody in the forehead that he is going to die. There is no “what if he gets back up again and hurts me”. But that kind of thing is rampant in martial arts, conventional self-defense, and various other other things. It’s all a “if he does this, do that”. People want to know techniques to deal with every different thing they could think up. That’s a defensive nature while the gun is all offensive. The gun doesn’t care whether you want to defend somebody or not. It is going to shoot a bullet that will tunnel through anything it can get through, period.
You see, the bullet knows how violence works. The bullet doesn’t have any doubts. The bullet doesn’t care what the target does, cause the bullet knows where it is heading and it is going to get there, and its purpose will be to destroy whatever it reaches. So the human can focus on aiming and pulling the trigger without having this basic fundamental comprehension of how violence works. The human can use a labor saving device, which does all the focus and structured methods for that human.
And the thing is, the bullet does the same thing everytime. It doesn’t curve in mid air and suddenly comes up with a “new way to kill somebody”. It doesn’t bounce around in a ricochet because that is “better” than Technique 1. It does what it does and lets what will, play itself out. Very simple. Very single minded.
But, the fake liberals disagree. THey want you to consider things from the thug’s perspective. WHy can’t you be sensitive to his economic plight, which is the responsibility of rich white people? You should also consider the legal ramifications of your actions, something the criminal already has ignored. You should consider not becoming the enemy you fight by using his methods. You should keep your hands clean. You should understand that guns are statistically likely to misfire and kill somebody, like you or your friends. You should think about, worry about, complain about, and be HESITANT about violence because the Left has decided that they have a monopoly on force and bodyguards, not you the lowly peasant and serf.
They want you to worry like they wanted Americans to worry about Iraq. Oh, those death squads militias are being given arms by Americans. THe Sunni Death Squads!! Before they were freedom fighters fighting America, and now when they have allied with America, they are those nasty militias!
The only Death Squad comes from Leftist rhetoric and support, people. They are the enablers of death.
Don’t let them enable your death.
This time, Book, this time I have read the sleazy and corruption racket proof New York Times so you do not have to!

banning assault rifles won’t be enough. Most school-style shootings–from Virginia Tech to the recent murders in Binghamampton have used legal semi-automatic pistols. Like assault rifles, the only legitimate use for a pistol is killing people. No one hunts with pistols. Even if their intended purpose is defense, the only thing people use pistols for is to shoot other human beings. Pistols are easy to conceal and are involved in more murders than any other type of gun in the United States.
The only real way to stop gun violence in this country is to go after the real culprits, the most ubiquitous firearms in America. Let people keep their shotguns and bolt-action rifles, but stop selling pistols and sub-machine guns.
— Scott Carney
When will people stop clinging to their guns and religion? Culture is mutable; just because you live out West or anywhere else a culture for guns manifests ask yourself is it worth it: worth it to espouse a dangerous policy that clearly gets innocents killed. Culture is no excuse. There have been plenty of dangerous cultures in the past. Why should gun culture be tolerated when so many other destructive cultures have not? Freedom? We don’t have the freedom to kill — we are only allowed freedom to the extent that third party rights are not infringed upon. Widespread gun ownership is effectively killing and thus infringing upon innocents lives in the worst way.

I could out argue these faukwits with one hand tied behind my back and two glasses of whiskey imbibed.
Their real problem is that they talk and write too much. For those like me, who like to analyze the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of the enemy, giving me too much fodder is like an extra Christmas to me.
I call them individuals with erroneously replaced wits in the head because instead of being dumb, which they are not, and instead of being ignorant, because they seem well educated and well spoken, they are instead blind because that’s how they like it.
I have a relative who is a gun owner and a fierce opponent of gun control. He ignores the endless statistics that point to the random violence that guns inflict on innocent lives. He insists that someday some criminal or rapist will come to his home and he must be able to protect himself and his family. He refuses to put the obvious benefits of safety for society above his own paranoia. He only sees things in black and white. Very naive and simple view of the world. Of course, he’s a republican…

In the aftermath of one of these atrocities, nothing is more chilling than a gun advocate racing before a camera to embrace a lunatic’s right to carry and kill.
In the end, it all comes down a very simple concept.
All those people in the article, including the commenters and the author? Those have abdicated their duty as citizens to protect themselves, their loved ones, and greater society. THey have abdicated this responsibility and shoved it off, outsourced it, to the government.
They talk about a gun advocate defending a lunatic’s right to carry and kill. In reality, the gun advocate defends the right of all citizens to kill. But because faukwits won’t use that right to defend themselves or the rest of us, all we have are a bunch of murderers killing people.
So the people feeling guilty about babies and children getting shot should take a gun and shoot themselves over banning guns, cause they are the problem. We don’t expect criminals to follow the laws. We don’t expect sadists to stop hurting people. We don’t expect mass murderers to stop killing because we tell them to. What we do expect is for Americans to protect the innocent and the faukwits, instead, do not give a damn about taking up arms to defend the innocent or the weak or the defenseless. THey sit on their arse because they are parasites, Period.
And they want us to give up our arms because they know better? Because we should do our part in society? Crackerjack that’s what.

That whole paragraph was brilliant! But I wanted to comment on just the above part.
Isn’t that argument exactly the same apologist argument the liberals use about jihadist terrorists? They’re poor and oppressed! And it’s our (rich, white) fault!
Then we find out that many of the terrorists are doctors, sons of doctors, and of other professionals. Only when they recruit and hire “muscle” do you encounter the “poor”.
I strongly believe that the same is true of “thugs”. Some people are simply born to be thugs, and some aren’t. There are a huge number of poor people who are not thugs, and who feel nothing but revulsion towards thugs. A thug is a thug.
(And a terrorist is a terrorist. Period.)

Hear, hear!
All you have to do is read the comments of people that Ymar put in bold in #3.
If you don’t feel the chill of oppression in their arguments, you’re not really hearing them.
We all will find our snapping point at which what is political becomes personal; the point at which we say “No. HELL No. No more.”
They will not be taking my gun. Not one fricking chance. No. HELL no. These sheep can bleat all they want. They can achieve their majority and pass their laws to take away my guns. They can win the Supreme Court and ignore the 2nd amendment just as they already ignore the 10th.
But I will not follow. That is my breaking point.
Hmmm, hmmm…a quick perusal of headlines and leads that shouldabin…but weren’t:
– Lifeboat with four pirates holds U.S. destroyer at gunpoint!
– Failed North Korea missile launch convinces U.S. to disarm, send money.
– A rising tide of bankruptcy lifts all boats, declares Obama.
– U.S threatens Iran with stern letter
– “The weren’t laughing at me, they were laughing with me,” Obama reacted to U.S. reporters inquiries about recent Euro tour.
– “Europe must admit Turkey to EU,” says Obama, in foreign speech decrying American arrogance.
– Vice President Biden briefly emerges from alternate universe: “Boy, you should of seen me…did I ever let Bush have it,” he exclaims, thumbs flexing as he showed off his X-box moves.
Ah, Danny, I’d be laughing if the Obama weakness weren’t so serious.
Once again, Obama is a DAY late and a dollar short to the game. He is frozen in place… by a Somalian pirate raider ship. Oh! How judgmental of me! This is not a Somalian pirate raider ship, I am quite sorry; it is a… it is a… Somalian merchant marine community organizer!
How long will it be before this crisis is resolved? Hillary Clinton has just suggested the administration is seeking a “21st Century Solution to The Problem”. The Problem??? Will this go on a Carteresque 444 days? Does one day late and a dollar short turn into 444 days late?
Obama is always frozen in place by any international crisis. Remember his refusal to take sides for DAYS when Russia invaded Georgia during the campaign? His feckless official comments about the regrettable occurrence of “violence”? So non-judgmental. So spineless.
At this moment I hear that Obama’s official statement is “He is apprised of the situation. He is monitoring the situation. He is concerned about the safety of Americans.”
Again… how non-judgmental. What in the world is “the situation”? How feckless. How worthless. How spineless. What a lack of moral clarity. Disgusting. Not one word about any person or force who may have been the predator in “the situation”.
Let’s watch this feckless coward carefully as this “situation” plays itself out. Do not be afraid to judge him, based on the results. We don’t need another Carteresque 444 days to call a coward coward. The current “situation” is not as big as the Iranian Hostage Crisis, but it will be very telling.
So we have “the situation” and “the problem”. Great. Just frickin’ great.
