Bookworm Room

Is it me, or has every Politico top story, for I don’t know how long now, focused on how Obama is trouncing the Republicans?  That being the case, I just can’t understand how Obama’s popularity, although still respectably high, continues its downward trajectory.  Or how his administration keeps getting embarrassed by reports such as the one showing that his own Intel Chief is acknowledging that “enhanced interrogation techniques” or “torture” (you pick the term), saved thousands, hundreds of thousands or even millions of American lives?  Or how foreign leaders seem gratified but politically unimpressed by his apology tour?  And so on.

I’m just saying….
