Well, I had not seen it before and loved it. What an amazing man that soldier is.

And my admiration for Petraus is boundless.

"The story was reserved by CBS for an Obama administration, not a Bush one."

Dang. I had not thought of that--I supposed CBS had grown some gonads. Silly me.

Nice catch.

(and well they might–I find it very interesting that the General had time to visit him, but the Candidate and the President did not

The story was reserved by CBS for an Obama administration, not a Bush one. The media does not pay attention to who Bush visits in terms of war casualties and Obama would have no reason to do so, political or personal.

Several sites that are also showing (and well they might--I find it very interesting that the General had time to visit him, but the Candidate and the President did not) hid it someplace so you click on a lint that starts it up.

I hate to see that you had to delete it.

The key seems to be--don't embed it on your main page.

Larry:

I can see where this autoplay is irritating -- really irritating. The problem, though, is that I have no control. This is how CBS sets up its embeds, no doubt to force everyone to sit through the opening commercial. The one good thing about my blog is that I seldom use CBS, preferring instead to get my videos from YouTube.

I am dropping you from my list blogs that I regularly read.

Please send me email when you have stopped the auto play.

Am I a HARD CASE? No. I have watched it six or eight times and I have been moved each time.

But I don't want to watch it anymore.

And I certainly don't want to watch it 5 or 6 times simultaneously, which is what is going on now because I launched my list of blogs to read, and they are all running it as autoplay.

This is not going to be fun if I have trouble sleeping and get up in the middle of the night (when others are sleeping) to catch up on the news.
