Now understand, I can appreciate humor from “the other side”. Jon Stewart is a lib but sometimes he nails his own side pretty good; and sometimes he’s funny as hell when he’s nailing my side too. Occasionally he goes too far for me in an attack that is petty and vicious.

Bill Maher is almost always petty and vicious, but at least I’ve never liked him.

I’ve liked Wanda Sykes in the past and she’s always had an acid tongue. But this time, she was petty and vicious, and it wasn’t funny.

I am usually able to analyze my own attempts at humor, when attacking “the other side”, and I usually can see when I’ve been petty and vicious, and I always resolve never to make that mistake again. I wonder if Wanda Sykes will be able to see herself honestly and clearly enough to see that she let her ideology trump her humor?

Then again, the culture has changed so much over the last few years, I wonder if she even cares? I wonder if any of them on “the other side” even care anymore about distinguishing between humor and vicious assault? Well, many of us see the difference, and, Ms. Sykes, when you’ve chosen vicious assault and show no signs of recognizing that, we just cross you off of our list, and don’t listen to or watch you any longer.

As Limbaugh practices speaking without a teleprompter several hours a day, he would demolish Obama in a teleprompterless debate. Obama realizes this, which is why it will never occur.

(I’d love to see Rush maneuver Obama into a face-to-face, teleprompterless debate. Ten to one that Obama would show up dressed in brown pants.)
