Sauce for the goose

If I remember correctly, nobody on the Democratic side of the aisle complained when the CIA went gunning for the Bush administration.  That being the case, do you feel sorry for the Dems who are now crying foul about the CIA’s decision to defend against Bush administration attacks by turning the spotlight on Senate and House Dems?  I don’t.  If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.  And, even better, don’t be the one stirring the flames.

They’ll dance in the flames and blame everyone except the arsonists, which just so happens to be themselves.

That is precious. The CIA is out to get the Dems by releasing documents regarding what they informed Democratic members of Congress. Recall the CIA motto: “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

The CIA was on the offensive versus Dubya, for whatever reasons. The Dems and Obama will learn that an offensive against the CIA will cause them to learn something: don’t stick your hand into a nest of rattlesnakes. Some things are best learned by experience.

I always favor the simple explanations:

“I never met a stupid person in the agency,” [McCarry] said in a 2004 interview. “Or an assassin. Or a Republican.” http://tinyurl.com/d4vemr

And for their attack on Congress [read, they didn't suppress information that would have embarrassed Democrats] it’s even simpler. Survival trumps partisanship. The president threatened the Agency, and so the Agency will fight back. Incredibly stupid move on Obama’s part.

I’m still struggling with how a man with zero political skills got elected. All I can guess is that he always had a political mentor, from Bill Ayres to Emil Jones to Reid/Pelosi, who told him what to say and when to say it. As proof, I offer the fact that Obama’s problems with leadership has Pelosi’s ineptitude splattered all over it.

And he has threatened or is threatening the military.

    ????????

    >>Incredibly stupid move on Obama’s part.>>

    Absolutely.

All of them are doing their own version of Gunfight at the Okay Corral.

Twitchy fingers resting on their holsters ready to shoot one another and in the back if need be.

Note – Late Breaking News Alert!
Today Sheriff Obama does not want the court ordered photos released of prisoners in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of his deputies slipped him a map and reminded him that he just invested 20,000 more troops to Afghanistan and told him that they may be in additional danger.

    Gee…ya think!

I’m sitting here eating my popcorn, watching the show, and enjoying the schadenfreude!

But this truly is a dangerous situation…we should not have one part of the government leaking stuff to undermine another. This was true when GW was President, and it’s true now….difficult as it is to write those words.

Do I blame the agency for the current flap? Not really….Pelosi was lying, and blaming the CIA for something that they hadn’t done. What did she expect? That because she was a Democrat, they were going to just let that go? Take the heat and let her skate? Right.

The current situation is profoundly different from what happened during the last Administration, in that there simply was *no* excuse for what they did to Bush. But, our nation and its security are being damaged by the morons in D.C. and the follies they’re treating us to at the moment……
