Islam and prisoners *UPDATED*

Every few years, I find it useful to drag out into daylight what my cousin, a Christian prison chaplain, said about Islam and prisoners:
It is not a contradiction to be a Muslim and a murderer, even a mass murderer. That is one reason why criminals “convert” to Islam in prison. They don’t convert at all; they similarly remain the angry judgmental vicious beings they always have been. They simply add “religious” diatribes to their personal invective. Islam does not inspire a crisis of conscience, just inspirations to outrage.
The inspiration for the above recycling is, of course, the unearthed bombing plot:
Several of the suspects have previously been arrested on drug charges and may have converted to Islam in prison, authorities said.
UPDATE: Both Michelle Malkin and the New York Post have more information about the prison/radical Islam connection.

All,
The cult of Islam is one of victimization – one submits to god, all things are as god wills, and no one is responsible for their own actions. If you are not caught, you committed no crime (I remember Dr. Sanity doing a great piece on guilt society vs. perception society). The underlying lessons of Islam are that you are not responsible – either god has a plan (where this fits) or the devil misled you (where you are not responsible for listening to him).
One thing that already is making me angry is the way certain press outlets are talking about “entrapment” in the case of the wanna-be bombers. If they had been arrested with the fake C4 only at the buy, then I might have some sympathy. They were arrested after ASSEMBLING BOMBS with fake C4 they’d bought and placing them at a site to conduct a terror attack. This is not entrapment – the FBI did not walk them to the synagogue and point out places for the bombs and kibbitz over the wiring to or hold their hand in assembly. These TERRORISTS and would be MURDERERS would have acted with real explosives had they not been sold the fake explosives by operatives. Saying this is entrapment is so far beyond the pale that I can hardly fathom the mental gymnastics required. They need to go to the chair for attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, treason, et. al. The press needs to trumpet “Would Be Islamic Jihadists Attempt to Blow Up Synagogue in New York”. What do we hear? “Bomb Plot in New York.”
And the press wonders why people don’t trust them, don’t like them, and don’t buy their products?

“I don’t care what your faith is; I care what your actions say about that faith.”
SSG Dave…
Have you seen the 100 year plan of the Muslim Brotherhood? If you haven’t already, you should – although it won’t tell you anything you don’t know already. Still, it puts it in a very concise format. I don’t have the link right off hand – I think it was a WorldNetDaily article at one point, anyway – but worth saving. I’ll try to find it later today or tomorrow and post a link.
Greetings:
Quoting: “Several of the suspects have previously been arrested on drug charges
and may have converted to Islam in prison, authorities said.”
This last bit is why President Obama’s insistence on bringing Gitmo detainees into mainland prisons makes no sense. Doesn’t he think that the Gitmo guys will be trying to recruit and/or train their fellow prisoners? Even if the Gitmo guys don’t get out, their evil spawn very well may.
More than 30 years of the Islamic conversion of black prisoners in the prison system…a festering wound waiting to infect humanity.
A good deal of the problem falls on the prison system, who allowed the imams to feed the inmates mass doses of hate. I know, I know..someone (not here in this room) is going to postulate that they have the ‘right’ to religion or some variation of the right to pray and follow their faith and government can’t interfere (pause and more) blah..blah..blah. Can you just imagine a Saudi prison allowing a Christian or a Joo to preach conversion for the sole purpose upon their release, not to make them a contributor to society, but to destroy it.
The press needs to trumpet “Would Be Islamic Jihadists Attempt to Blow Up Synagogue in New York”.
Of course, the press does that. They’re always blowing their own horn, but then the only thing they can play is one sour note.
A while back there was an interesting exchange at The Corner between Andy McCarthy and I-forget-who about the influence prison inmates have on their networks outside the prisons. It was a truly frightening look at how little incarceration does to disrupt the machinations of a criminal or terrorist leader. I’ll see if I can dig up a link.
Quisp,
One danger I see in bringing the Gitmo prisoners to mainland prisons is that it would create a critical mass of high-level jihadis. Small independent cells could try to improve their jihadi creds by staging hostage takings like Beslan or targeting soft targets like shopping malls to win the release of Islamic heroes. No single op would have to be big, nor would it require a lot of support. Think of the shootings outside DC. These small local cells are composed of losers who will do anything to make headlines.
Found the link. Only a few basic items incorrect…like wrong web page, wrong nomenclature…!

Thanks for the link to Front Page. I had time only to read the article, but will attempt to get to the translation. From what I read, one would think that this information should be a ‘must read’ and splashed across the headlines. I felt that even coverage of the Holy Land Foundation was sorely lacking.
“These small local cells are composed of losers who will do anything to make headlines.”
Sounds like a cancer to me!
