Last week’s Watcher of Weasels results

I’ve noticed a disturbing tendency in myself to delay posting Weasel results in direct proportion to how badly I did.  I don’t do this on purpose — that is, I don’t say “I did badly, so I’m just going to ignore this for a while.”  What I do is the opposite:  when I do well, I just get this eager beaver feeling and post away.

Last week I did so badly, I didn’t get any votes at all, something that very accurately reflected my submission last week.  I didn’t have anything good on tap, so I sent in something decidedly mediocre and my fellow council members, acute thinkers that they are, instantly recognized that fact.  It didn’t help that, as always, the competition was incredibly good:  intellegent, interesting and informed.  Against that, mediocrity didn’t stand a chance.

So here, with my apologies for the delay, are last week’s Watcher’s winners:

It’s the procrastination again, Book ; ) You don’t feel a motivation to post it now now, so you don’t. So you wait, and wait, and suddenly, it becomes less important since the deadline is past and even more important to avoid posting!
