Welcome, American Thinker readers (and Rush listeners)

To my regular crew: Don’t get too excited. I’m told that Rush didn’t do an extensive analysis of my article at American Thinker. But he did allude to it, and it’s definitely spiked the number of people who have come over to check things out.
Okay, back to my welcome to all of you new visitors: Welcome! I’m a neocon living in the heart of blue land, and I blog because politics is my passion while carpooling and law are my life.
I’m a fairly eclectic blogger, touching on whatever interests me at the moment. Lately, the Obama presidency has been interesting me a lot. In a nutshell, I don’t like him. I’m also very interested in Islamism (which I fear) and in America’s and Israel’s continued good health (which I desire).
My blog is a very nice community of people. I do most of the posts, although some of my readers have contributed articles, and I’ve nagged them to do more. I welcome comments, and we have very exciting and informative discussions in the comment section. I do expect civility. Snarkiness and sarcasm usually get a pass, but I will delete gross personal insults, threats to me (or to anybody else, for that matter), racist statements, and obscenities. If I have to delete someone’s comments to often, I’ll make my life easier and just ban that person from the site altogether. As it’s my blog, I’m judge and jury on this, and get to decide who goes and who stays.
Anyway, draw up a chair and look around. If you like what you see, stay. And if you have something to contribute, feel free to do so.

See.
Good for you Book. You are hitting the big-time.
I am glad you are getting the notice; I hope it does not change anything.
Well I am still delighted that he referenced it. You deserve to be more widely read!
Thank you! I doubt this is the beginning of a trend, but I still see it as boast-worthy. It’s my 5 seconds of fame (which is amusing considering I’m anonymous) and I’m going to glory in it.
This is a little bit of nostalgia for ya, Book
Oh, how innocent we all were at the true extents to which Leftist machinations were able to go. We saw hints of it, but we never could have imagined the true extent of their deliberations. In fact, it took thinking of the Left as a terrorist insurgency to allow me to even begin to imagine all that they have done in the recent years and are still doing today.
How do you defeat a bunch of mass murdering insurgents, guerrillas, and criminals? Petraeus showed us how. And it had amazingly little to do with busting in doors, arresting people, executing them, or blowing up their homes, hospitals, parks, or playgrounds. Amazingly little. But the consequences were just as horrendous, for the insurgency that is.
People should never forget that when the Left wants you to fail, you must devote even more efforts to succeeding. Because the Left will never abide a free and independent populace, thus any compromise or “deal” you seek to make, short of absolute success, only favors the Left. Every success, whether in domestic matters or matters of war, against the machinations of Democrats and Leftists elevates the individual closer to their maximum human potential: a potential that must be stunted if the Left is to achieve their ultimate political goals.
Read back on Book’s post in my link and remember and recall what we thought about the activities of Democrat propagandists. We have much to learn if we are to utterly defeat the opponents of the rule of law, of justice, human dignity, or basic fundamental human liberties.
Torture is not something Democrats and the Left disapproves of. They have been doing emotional damage and harm for a long time. People just have never been forced to consider it in such a light. Prejean, Rush, Bush, Cheney, Petraeus, the names will go on longer than the Vietnam Memorial is long. Every inch is covered with a target of the Left’s revolutionary and dynamically inhumane policies.
Never let yourself fall prey to the societal perception that just because you don’t shout in the face of every Obama groupie what their support of cruelty unbridled makes them, that the nature of the Left is kind or good. Never let yourself forget the truth, even as if you refuse to speak it constantly to the power of the Left.
The victims of the Left deserve to be remembered if America is to be worthy of being called the place of the just, the free, and the brave.
I hope you are taking a most deserved bow or curtsy, Book, whichever comes more naturally.
And now for the little snip below and my snipe after wards.
WASHINGTON – The U.S. on Wednesday accused North Korea of “provocative and belligerent” behavior as Defense Secretary Robert Gates took on the delicate task of reassuring Asian allies of U.S. support without further provoking the communist government.
I may not have the wording just right, but if I am not mistaken President O did quite a bit of talking about closed fist policy vs an open extended hand to our enemies. Seems like the Knights of the Round Table did not take into consideration the digits on some hands – N. Korea just flipped them the bird. Of course, Iran, flipped them the bird as well, but the President thought it was a game of ‘whispering down the lane’ and passed the ‘bird’ to Israel.
When do we get our turn to ‘flip the bird’ or do we end up eating crow.
Congratulations on the recognition. The American Thinker article is a fantastic guide and one I will share with my fellow conservative friends. (we are in hostile territory too in)
Keep fighting the good fight!
PS. As I read your guide on how to talk to Libs, I was reminded by the calm, cool, matter of fact manner in which Liz Cheney recently conducted herself on various Liberal Networks with which she was outnumberd. (I thought I was witnessing the future of the Republican Party in Liz Cheney!)
Show off. Harumph …. I knew her when she was just a wee pup ….
pupal certainly.
correction, pupa. The cocoon.
