The omnipresent Obama media

I’m sitting in a Kaiser waiting room (seem appointment for the almost-teen at my side), and can’t help but notice that, with the exception of the AAA’s travel mag, every single magazine has a cover that directly or indirectly lauds the wonders of Obama.

All Obama all the time gets tiring real fast.

If you look closely at what people in waiting rooms read, they usually avoid Time or Newsweek and go more for the lifestyle magazines. Yes, Redbook and People, etc., may also still be on the Obama is Jesus and Michelle is his Mary Magdalene kick, but I don’t think the attention span of anybody, particularly the aliterate, ahistorical naifs who voted for him, is all that long.

I’d write more, but I need to go watch Michael Jackson’s funeral.

You mean people don’t bring books to waiting rooms? How do they stop themselves from going insane?

Yes, it is everywhere. As I am currently looking for work I get to see all the ads on Monster and other job boards: “Obama wants you to earn a degree” or other such stuff. It is getting to be rather sickening.

Now that has me laughing hard. That’s a good one!

Push the party line. That’s how it is in totalitarian societies.
