I like alliteration so much, I was tempted to pull an Elmer Fudd and title this post “Wast Week’s Watcher’s Winners,” but I restrained myself. I’ll just give you the winners, sans alliteration:

Aw, heck. Here’s some alliteration after all, with Peter, Paul & Mary doing a lovely job on a Gilbert & Sullivan song from The Yeoman of the Guard:

Thanks for the Gilbert and Sullivan, which long ago as a lad long I loved to listen to the lyrics and sing. Gilbert certainly had his way with a lyric. Thanks to PP&M for doing some G&S.
The D’Oyly Cart singers, I now realize, had much better voices than PP&M.
OK,
This is just an excuse to put another old song, under the heading of great songs rarely heard.
It’s a Beautiful Day- White Bird
Hope you enjoy this extended live version of the song, but what is telling is the video that has been added.
These are the people now in charge of our country?
No, these are the people manipulated by the people now in charge of the country.
Still is a great song.
