Translation of “wee-weed” requested *UPDATED*

What the heck does Obama mean by “wee-weed?”

“There’s something about August going into September where everyone in Washington gets all ‘wee-weed’ up,” the president said.

My first thought was that he was making some bizarre reference to the old children’s rhyme:  “This little pig went to market, and this little pig stayed home.  This little pig had roast beef, and this little pig had known.  And this little pig cried ‘wee, wee, wee’ all the way home.” That is, he’s accusing American citizens of being squealing little pigs, which is scarely a complimentary image.

Alternatively, perhaps Obama is talking about people so scared they pee on themselves, with “wee-weed” being a variant of the child’s term for urinating (“wee-wee”).  Again, not a very nice thing to say.

Or maybe Obama was trying to speak French — “oui-oui’d” — thereby launching an underhanded attack against the French, who haven’t been known for military prowess or bravery since Napoleon’s defeat.  And again, if that’s true, it’s insulting both to French and Americans.

Basically, I can’t put a positive spin on this one.  Do you know what the phrase means?

UPDATE:  Bruce Kesler, who blogs at Maggie’s Farm, offers this explanation: “It means that O just peed on himself in public, himself tensing up and losing control of his bladder-mouth.”

UPDATE II:  Michelle Malkin is as befuddled as I am, but Terresa, who blogs at Noisy Room, may have found the answer.  If she’s right, I can only say, what inexcusable crudity from the mouth of the president of the world’s most powerful (at least for now) nation.
