Lynn Woolsey, Marin representative, will hold a town hall meeting

If you’re in Marin County, California, here is news for you (emphasis mine):
Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Petaluma, said Wednesday that she has changed her mind and will hold a public town hall meeting on health care reform in Petaluma on Monday.
Woolsey drew criticism from some constituents earlier this month when she conducted a town hall meeting on health care reform via the telephone rather than meet with them in person. Critics said they were not informed in advance of the teleconference.
[snip]
The two-hour, town hall meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the Petaluma Veterans Memorial Hall, 1094 Petaluma Blvd. in Petaluma. Woolsey says she will answer questions and listen to the opinions of constituents.

Will anyone bring up her shameless coddling of CodePink?
Are you going to attend, Book? Can we look forward to a “report”? I think you might find it interesting as I attended the one in my district (Frank Pallone (D) – NJ 6th District, a co-sponsor of the House bill) the other night.
My district is VERY “blue-state”; even so most in the crowd were “not pleased” (to say the least!) with Pallone on this issue. I did a posting about the meeting on my blog.
One thing that was very interesting is that they originally planned for a 2-hour meeting. So many folks showed up that not everyone could get in. So, the organizers changed it to three 1-hour mini-sessions; and still many people were turned away.
As I left, one woman who I had been talking to earlier while waiting in line said, as a understated joke: “Well, he has been in congress for 20 years, it is time for a change.”
The good news is that with so many of their supporters being “ticked off,” I am hoping that the Democrats don’t really stand much of a chance at doing anything of real substance. And this whole fiasco might just be the proverbial “nail in their coffin.”
Unfortunately, my husband is out of town and, between carpool obligations and child care, I have zero ability to attend. I deeply regret this fact, but the family comes first. However, I do know many people who are planning on attending, and I know they’re not happy with Woolsey’s plans.
